Description
Do you have any idea what it’s like to question who you are with the world watching? Neither do I. I’ve got questions, but as long as I’m the starting goalie and captain of the Colorado Bulldogs NHL team, answers can wait until I retire.
Or so I thought, until my path crosses Tripp Cooper’s.
The self-described brat is loud, obnoxious and deliberately crass. He’s also got this charisma about him that comes from being comfortable in his own skin. Skin that I find beautiful despite rarely noticing such things. And that mouth…
Most people find Tripp’s sass off-putting, but I find it intriguing. I admire his ability to be himself, consequences be damned, which is why he’s the one I confess my deepest secret to. And when he offers to help me answer those questions I’ve been too afraid to ask, the missing pieces of who I am seem to fall into place.
My journey of self-discovery may put my mind at ease, but it uncovers the trauma of Tripp’s past, revealing that he’s even more in need of healing than I am. I just hope he’ll let me be the man to help him.
